It's all about trial and error

Shakira has grown so tall. She is not the putsy little girl I used to know. She loves to draw and she developed the talent by herself. She is neither Picasso nor Van Gogh but without any form of art training, I have to command her initiatives. Her drawing skills has improved tremendously over the years. I think she finds solace in her drawings. Only an artist understands his art.....well, I just made that up. She will always carry around her note pad and pencil. She would sketch or jot down her ideas. At 11 she is almost 5 feet tall and doesn't any longer want to hold my hand while crossing the road. Whenever I extended my hand to her, she would fold her arms. Is it not cool to hold hands with her old mom? Or am I just being over sensitive?

Hence, I find solace in Shakiel. Being 9 years of age, he is generous and willing to give a helping hand. Sometimes I do feel save knowing him there. He would stop and extend his hands, "Mummy hold my hand", when crossing the drain. I will normally reply, " It's alright, I am fine.". Very talkative and affectionate. There were times he felt frustrated not being the good artist like his sister. He tried but the best he could come up with are stick-man. His handwriting has improved. He often received negetive comments from all his teaches last year on his handwriting.

I still tucked them to bed daily.

Funny, isn't it? Children are like experiment. It's all about trial and error.
