So much being said about this Boney M front man. Reports mentioned his
voice wasn't suited for studio recording but he sings during most live
performances. The male voice in their albums belongs to Frank Farian, who is a German music producer who founded Boney M. Whatever it is, I enjoy watching Bobby's performances either live or lip sync. Does that matter? Well, apparently it does not to me! Most artist in the 70's lip sync when they performed live. Yeah, they do. There
are so many combination of dancing styles that he brought into his
performances which are a head of his time. A few artist adopted to
Bobby's style. Try to identify them. Amongst all of Boney M's video on You Tube, I enjoyed
watching Sunny. Please enjoy!
On my personal observation, Bobby displayed a charismatic and exciting dance moves. In Sunny, see how both Liz Mitchell and Bobby flirt with each other. It also happened in a few other videos but ONLY when they performed to this song.

When the group broke up in 1986, both Liz and Bobby formed their own Boney-M with new back up singers. But it does not feel the same. The original Boney-M is still and always be the best.
Bobby started performing with Boney M in 1976 until to his death on 30 Dec 2010. He died while he was on tour in St. Petersburg.
Rest in Peace, Bobby. You may not know me but I grew up listening to you and Boney M.
