An afternoon with Puan Hajar of Oh! My English

Yes, it was worth taking half day leave that day. Took my kids and my nephews to attend a motivation talk by Adibah Noor organized by my sister's 2nd year students.

I jumped to the opportunity to tag along and the chance of meeting the speaker. It was fortunate I get to sit across the table from her and share ideas of ways for students to improve their English Language.

As most of Malaysians are aware off, Adibah Noor is a recording artist and a multi-talented actor. She currently starring as Puan Hajar, a headmistress in the fun-learning sitcom, Oh! My English on Astro TVIQ. The kids (well, only 4 of them...) were shy in the beginning but later they were conversing in English with Adibah Noor.

That day we were again fortunate. Adibah Noor not only gave the talk for free, but also paid for the catering and meeting room. All 120 participants! She said she did it because she can afford to do it.
